Fused with rhythms of jazz and blues, Soul of Langston sketches the life of American playwright, poet, and civil rights activist Langston Hughes, as portrayed by Arts for Learning’s Daron P. Stewart.

Performer Bio: Daron P. Stewart is an actor who has performed across the United States and abroad. His credits include national and independent film work, television hosting, and numerous stage performances. His accolades include a “Best Supporting Actor” award for his portrayal of Cory in Theatre Charlotte’s production of August Wilson’s Fences. Daron is perhaps best known for his command performance as Langston Hughes in the one-person stage play, Soul of Langston, which he wrote and has performed nationally in various venues. In addition to his acting work, Daron conducts an artist residency program that partners academic work with the arts
