Beekeeping is a wonderful way to bring the magic of nature into your own yard and to help provide habitat to key pollinators.  But what is really involved with becoming a beekeeper?  How much does it cost, what do you need to know, and what are the first steps that you should take to get started?  Come and join us to learn more about it from the York/Poquoson Master Gardeners, and to see if beekeeping might be right for you.

Fiber Arts Meetup

Spend a relaxing afternoon working on your individual fiber arts projects while enjoying the company of others at Yorktown Library.  This drop-in program occurs on the 4th Saturday (excluding holidays) each month from 2-4 PM at Yorktown Library. It is for adults of all skill levels interested in crocheting, knitting, needlepoint, and other related crafts. Teens are also welcome if accompanied by an adult. A limited amount of supplies (yarn, needles, hooks, etc.) will be available while supplies last.
