Our monthly meetup on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month (except on holidays) provides writers a space to work on their projects, offer and receive critiques, and even to meet other local writers. Blow off some steam and get creative at our "Bad" Art Night. If you work better with constraints, an art prompt will be provided. No pressure to finish--take this time to relax and unwind. Talent and skill will not be judged--but works may show up on library social media.

This social gathering is for anyone personally affected by memory loss and their care partners. Each café will offer its guests the chance for unstructured conversation, refreshments and getting to know others with similar memory changes. Care Partners and/or spouses must attend as well. The café is organized and hosted by trained facilitators.

Spend a relaxing afternoon working on your individual fiber arts projects while enjoying the company of others at Yorktown Library.  This drop-in program occurs on the 4th Saturday (excluding holidays) each month from 2-4 PM at Yorktown Library. It is for adults of all skill levels interested in crocheting, knitting, needlepoint, and other related crafts. Teens are also welcome if accompanied by an adult. A limited amount of supplies (yarn, needles, hooks, etc.) will be available while supplies last.

Join us the 4th Sunday of each month (excluding holidays) for three hours of board games/tabletop gaming at Tabb Library. YCPL owns a varied collection of board and card games such as Catan, The Resistance, Rummikub, Ticket to Ride: London, and more. Attendees are welcome to bring games to share or play amongst themselves. D&D groups are also welcome to use the space.

This program is for adults (18+) of all levels of gaming experience. Teens are also welcome to join with an accompanying adult.

Establish or deepen your mindfulness and meditation practice on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM at Tabb Library with Melissa McGill, Ed.D., certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, E-RYT200 in a supportive small group setting.  Instruction and guidance on foundational mindfulness and meditation practices is incorporated.
