Week Calendar

During this screen-free program, we will read stories, play games, explore Code-a-pillars and Hexbugs, and create crafts, all to build our coding skills. We will define coding and what it takes to be a good coder.

Baby Bookworms is a story time program for the very young. We explore literacy tips, read a story, sing songs, participate in finger play and conclude with a parenting topic and free play each week. 

Story time is a program with stories, poems, finger plays, songs and a craft with a focus on nurturing a lifelong love of reading and appreciation of books.   

Toddler Tales is an introduction to story time for toddlers and their parent/caregiver.

Like talking about books? Interested in exploring different new-to-you fiction and nonfiction titles? Come out to Books & Banter, a monthly book group held in the Tabb Library Conference Room on the 4th Thursday of each month at 10:30 AM.

Join us at the library for a fun-filled morning of games with other homeschoolers! This is a great opportunity to connect with peers, build friendships, and develop essential skills like problem-solving, teamwork, and critical thinking.

Limited space? Consider container gardening! Join a Master Gardener for an informative talk that covers the differences between gardening in a container vs planting in the ground.

Hang out and unwind on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month with Nintendo Switch, PS5, Wii, board, and card games.  This program is for 6th-12th graders.

Bring your great condition and unwanted vinyl records for swapping and shuffling with others on February 24th at 6 PM!

Learn the basics of 3D printing and object design by making your own custom bookmark with the assistance of library staff. There will be brief tutorials of Tinkercad and Thingiverse; prior experience not required.

Looking for a space to host your D&D group? Want to meet other D&D players in the area? Adventure awaits at Tabb Library on the 4th Tuesday of each month (excluding holidays)!

Join us for an evening of conversation and crafting at the Yorktown Library. Bring your scrapbook, journal, or other paper craft supplies, and chat with other crafters while you work on your current project.

It’s like a book club but for movies! Join us for an in-depth discussion of different film genres/subgenres at Yorktown Library each month.
