Mosquitoes are part of life in the Tidewater area, but that doesn’t mean that you have to avoid using your yard because of them.  There are many companies out there promising solutions, but are their methods scientifically proven?  Join a Virginia Master Naturalist to find out how to successfully control mosquitoes in your yard using techniques backed up by scientific research. Our monthly meetup on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month (except on holidays) provides writers a space to work on their projects, offer and receive critiques, and even to meet other local writers. Establish or deepen your mindfulness and meditation practice on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM at Tabb Library with Melissa McGill, Ed.D., certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, E-RYT200 in a supportive small group setting.  Instruction and guidance on foundational mindfulness and meditation practices is incorporated. The Tabb Book Readers (TBR) is an adult book discussion group that meets from 1:15-2:30 p.m. on the third Saturday of each month at the Tabb Library. Please register by the Friday before the meeting. Blow off some steam and get creative at our "Bad" Art Night. If you work better with constraints, an art prompt will be provided. No pressure to finish--take this time to relax and unwind. Talent and skill will not be judged--but works may show up on library social media.

Join us on the 3rd Wednesday of each month from 1:30pm - 3:00 pm for Memory Café at the Tabb Library!

This social gathering is for anyone personally affected by memory loss and their care partners. Each café will offer its guests the chance for unstructured conversation, refreshments and getting to know others with similar memory changes. Care Partners and/or spouses must attend as well. The café is organized and hosted by trained facilitators.
